One specialises in equine and stable management only and the other in outdoor activities including horse-riding instruction and stable maintenance.
Students must be 16 years of age but the recommended age is 18+. The programme spans over a period of one to four years reviewed each and every year and is ideal for students that are looking to fast track to the highest paid positions in the equine industry. The student is a volunteer post and the training provided is to enable you to carry out your volunteering duties safely and competently.
Natural Horsemanship Academy
It's our goal to reach all levels of horsemen/horsewomen. To develop safer, affordable, informative, step by step user friendly training for equine professionals. Our personal approach creates a relaxed and positive atmosphere conclusive to learning, setting the student up for a successful and lasting career in the equine or outdoor activities industry.
If you truly love horses and have an interest in natural training for horse and riders you will love the Argyll Adventure's training program. Argyll Adventure provides a clear and easy path to achieve extraordinary results. Having studied under some of the best natural horsemen of our time, we have created our own signature training program. Each student benefits from the decades of hard work which has resulted in clarity and structure with meaningful industry recognised qualifications from the British Horse Society (BHS) or Trekking and Riding Society of Scotland (TRSS).
The programme is run in a relaxed, friendly, family atmosphere, with strong emphasis on natural horsemanship, natural riding, teamwork, teaching, leadership and organisational skills. The length of time you will spend with us will depend on how far you wish to progress. The students are exposed to every aspect of running a livestock business including farm diversification projects. Students are however required to be self motivated, presentable and capable of supporting themselves financially. Currently there is no charge for the program whilst we develop and refine. We will provide free tuition, accommodation and meals during the successful candidates program but we will not cover other personal expenses including pocket money.
Most students have gained professional Trekking and Riding Society of Scotland (TRSS) & British Horse Society (BHS) qualifications during their program. Please note this is not a hotel or a leisure riding holiday. This is real work experience on a Trekking and Riding Society of Scotland (TRSS) & British Horse Society (BHS) approved riding centre. Places are very limited and we recieve hundreds of applications for every post so please email your CV and include a recent photo preferbly not riding. We would also like to know why you should be considered for the position and the dates you are available between. Placements are always for a year unless stated otherwise in your offer letter and will be extended if felt beneficial to both parties.
